2017
70" x 68"
Turned-edge hand appliqué, hand embroidery, cut-away trapunto, domestic machine quilting, hand-tied scalloped edge
For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. Using hand-stitched turned-edge appliqué and domestic machine quilting, time is portrayed by clock numbers, monthly birth flowers and birthstones, leaves changing color with the seasons, moon phases, and the shapes of an hourglass and infinity.

Thanks Dianne! 3 years elapsed time for the applique, 200 hours of machine quilting. Hard question to answer, hence my blog post https://kathykwylie.com/2017/06/how-long-did-it-take-to-make-that-quilt/ 😉
This blog post will give you a better sense of the timelines https://kathykwylie.com/2017/11/for-such-a-time-as-this-2/
