EQ7 is the newest and most advanced version of the best-selling Electric Quilt software and it is also the most user-friendly. This incredibly full-featured quilt design and drawing program has been especially designed with beginners as well as advanced designers in mind. A variety of workshops are available, from introductory to advanced, and can be combined as desired into multi-day classes.
Introduction to EQ7
This class is oriented towards beginners and covers the basics of simple quilt layouts as well as how to colour, save, and print your quilt designs. (EQ6 or EQ7)
Intermediate EQ7
For those who have some experience with Electric Quilt software or who have taken the Introduction to EQ7 class, this workshop will review the basics and build on them. We will look at quilt layouts, work with borders and sashing and learn how to edit and draw quilt blocks. (EQ6 or EQ7)
Working with Images in EQ7
The image worktable is the most significant enhancement to EQ7 from the previous version. This class will focus on image editing: how to crop, resize, rotate, adjust colors, and apply special effects; how to use the Symmetry tools and the Photo Patchwork layout; and how to incorporate images into quilt designs. (EQ7 only)
Advanced Drawing
Learn how to use the drawing tools in EQ7 to design your own patchwork and appliqué blocks. This class will cover pattern drafting and underlying patchwork grids, importing an image for tracing, and all the tools available in EasyDraw and PatchDraw. (EQ6 or EQ7; some tools unavailable in EQ6)
