Online class sessions are a combination of recorded video lessons, which are screen-shared during a Zoom meeting, group discussion and Q&A, and independent activity. Access to the videos is available between sessions and for a limited time after the class, along with a chat room for ongoing questions and discussion.

Birth Flower AppliquéEvery month of the year has a flower to symbolize the birth date, commonly known as a birth flower. Inspired by Kathy’s award-winning quilt “For Such a Time as This”, each birth flower has been incorporated into a delightful wreath design in a block-of-the-month series of patterns. Needle-turn, Apliquick and fusible appliqué methods will be presented in class, along with hand and machine stitching techniques. Make a special block to commemorate your birth month or complete the whole set to make a stunning quilt or a perpetual calendar. 6-hour class, suggested schedule:

Mastering ApliquickMaster the Apliquick method for turned-edge appliqué. The innovative Apliquick tools provide unprecedented ease and precision for preparing fabric for hand or machine stitching – even miniature-sized. Kathy has taught many appliqué techniques over the years but when Apliquick came to North America in 2013, it was a game changer. Suddenly, turned-edge appliqué was accessible and achievable. Apliquick is a technique that is easy to learn and quick to master. You will get good results right away and with a little practice, you will be able to turn pretty well anything! If you have always wanted to learn turned-edge appliqué – or struggled with it in the past – this class is for you. 6-hour class, suggested schedule: |
